Ern Protocol — Product Update (April 16 – May 8, 2026)

A three-week cycle covering five features and improvements across the Ern app, from a refreshed interface to AI-protocol integration. Here's everything that shipped.

🆕 MCP Server

Ern now runs an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, making the protocol queryable directly from LLM-enabled tools.

You can connect Ern to:

  • Claude Desktop

  • Cursor

  • Any other MCP-compatible AI app

Once connected, ask the assistant questions like "what's my BTC stack worth?", "what's the current yield on ernUSDC?", or "what's the TVL across vaults?" — and get answers from the protocol in plain language.

🎨 Redesigned Vault Cards

Vault cards have been reworked to lead with what users actually want to see at a glance.

What's improved:

  • Current yield is the primary visual emphasis

  • Your accruing BTC stack is shown directly on the card

  • Deposit moved to a primary CTA

  • TVL and secondary stats moved to the detail view

  • Tighter information density without feeling cluttered

The redesign shipped to all users automatically — no setting required.

🌙 Dark Mode

Dark mode is now available app-wide. Every component, modal, and tooltip has been redesigned for the dark surface — not just inverted.

Toggle via the theme switcher in the app header. Your preference persists across sessions.

💳 Fiat On-Ramp via Transak

Ern now supports direct fiat funding through Transak. Users can deposit straight into their Ern account using:

  • Credit / debit card

  • Bank transfer (in supported regions)

  • 15+ currencies, including USD, EUR, GBP, NGN, BRL, and more

This removes the previous workflow of acquiring stablecoins on a separate exchange before depositing.

To use: from your portfolio page, click Fund and select the on-ramp option. Transak handles KYC and conversion; the resulting USDC lands directly in your Ern position.

↔️ WBTC to BTC Bridge

A new self-custody exit path: convert your accumulated WBTC stack to native Bitcoin and withdraw to a non-custodial wallet.

How it works:

  1. Withdraw your BTC stack from Ern as WBTC

  2. Use the in-app bridge to convert WBTC → native BTC

  3. Send the BTC to any wallet (hardware, mobile, or custodial)

This completes the full accumulation arc — deposit stables, accumulate Bitcoin, take it home.

What's next

The team is heads-down on V2 — Auto Rebalancing Yield vaults, expanded strategy modules, and the TWAP swap router currently in audit with Pashov. More on that soon.
